ExeQuest
Reverse programming puzzle game
You are the computer. Run the code by hopping across the pond
Most programming games give you a goal and ask you to write the program.
ExeQuest is the opposite. Each level gives you a short Python program, and you are
the computer: you run it step by step, hopping a character across a pond of
lily pads. A check like if green(): looks at the pad you stand on. One wrong
move and you sink.

Programming concepts
Each of the 60 levels is handcrafted to practice a programming concept, and
they gradually increase in difficulty: sequence, loops, nested loops,
conditions, else and elif, while, not, functions and recursion (you
need to understand recursion to understand recursion, though). The language is
a simplified version of Python.
Intuition
Code gets much easier to work with once you can run it in your head. You use that picture every time you debug or read someone else’s code. In ExeQuest, the pond holds the program’s state for you, so you can focus on how the code flows.
